This Ladies event, was started a number of years ago, as a triangular match setup, between two Torexe teams and a guest team. With the aim of providing match practice for players and teams who do not play in any of the current regional Leagues. The tournament has grown a bit since then and is still run as and when required.

This indoor tournament, caters for all standards but most teams are from local or regional leagues. School teams like King's, KEVIC's and Paignton, have also done well here, (without winning a match) with their 14 to 16 year olds.

I know they took a stuffing, but they were indestructible of spirit and loved it! The last game, which they only lost 32-18 as I remember, was treated like a victory and they sang the whole damn way to Paignton! I enjoyed it all bar the singing...

Paignton School Coach.
