| Why not make a weekend of it.
Exeter is a medium size City located in East Devon, so why not make a weekend of it. Their are plenty of B&B's and camp sites available in the South and East Devon area. Check out the tourist links at http://www.exeter.gov.uk/tourism/ for more info on the area and links to various facilities within the area. Traveling Time: It will take approximately 4 hours to drive from London,
3 hours from Birmingham and 2 hours from Cardiff or Poole to
Exeter. |
|
The competition format takes the form of two round robin pools, then
various Knock Out matches.
With twelve teams in the event, each team will play seven timed matches. We will also arrange for a spare 1st referees to be available if required. Tournament Rules |
| This Ladies event, was started a number of years ago, as a triangular
match setup, between two Torexe teams and a guest team.
With the aim of providing match practice for players and teams who do
not play in any of the current regional Leagues. The
tournament has grown a bit since then and is still run as
and when required. This indoor tournament, caters for all standards but most teams are from local or regional leagues. School teams like King's, KEVIC's and Paignton, have also done well here, (without winning a match) with their 14 to 16 year olds. I know they took a stuffing, but they were indestructible of spirit and loved it! The last game, which they only lost 32-18 as I remember, was treated like a victory and they sang the whole damn way to Paignton! I enjoyed it all bar the singing... Paignton School Coach. |
