The Scottish Volleyball Association (SVA) (in partnership with and funded by sportscotland) are seeking to appoint a Director of Coaching who will initiate and direct all aspects of the SVA's Coach Education Programme. This will entail working closely with practising coaches at every level as well as Local Authorities and other agencies to implement a structured approach to the recruitment, development and support of coaches - both nationally and locally. You will require excellent interpersonal and communication skills accompanied by sound organisational and planning abilities. Also required is the ability to motivate, provide guidance and work well as part of a team. Candidates will have a proven track record of delivering volleyball coach education programmes as well as success as a practising coach. | TEAM of the WEEK |
| Not team of the week but court of the week, we don't have too many purpose built out door courts in the UK and the one's that are out there tend to be missing a bit of TLC. But not this one, a maintained grass surface, a good tight net, a couple of installed street lights for lighting and half the court is surrounded by coloured lantern light (which should look good at night). |
|
|
| The court is at Laleham Park camp site, near Chertsey in Surrey on the banks of the
Thames (about a mile from Chertsey). A good location if you are looking for a base to use while visiting London
etc, they do run their own volleyball events (with their own version of the rules). Address: Laleham, Chertsey, Surrey, TW18 1SH / 01932 564149 |
| If you would like to feature as team of the week, just send in your team photo with a few note etc to: Dave.Reece@volleyballnewsletter.com |
