Beach Towel Volleyball
Description: A water balloon is placed on the towel of one of the pairs. The pair must then work together to lift their towel so that the balloon is propelled into the air, across the net to the other team. One of the pairs on the other team must then try to catch the balloon with their towel and return it the same way. As in regular volleyball, a team scores a point when the balloon hits the ground on the other side of the net.

European Champions
FRANCE IS THE NEW BOYS’ YOUTH EUROPEAN CHAMPION
![]() In a dramatic final of the Boys’ Youth European Championships 2007 France was able to defeat Poland with 3:2 (25:21, 25:19, 22:25, 24:26, 15:7). After 1:59 hours Earvin Ngapeth secured the fifth set and thus the gold medal in the competition for the French team. 1100 enthusiastic spectators saw the exciting final at the Budocenter Vienna, among them CEV President André Meyer and the President of the Austrian Volleyball Federation Stefan Tweraser. Cheered by their numerous fans the Polish players were able to gain the lead in beginning of the first set, but from the score of 14:12 onwards the French team could distance their opponent more and more. In the end they secured the first set with the second set point after 24 minutes (25:21). Also in the second set the hard-fighting Polish players were able to keep up with their opponent and even gain the lead over the French team, but again starting at the score of 9:8 France did not give away the lead anymore and also secured the second set in 25 minutes, again with the second set point 25:19. The Polish defense had no chance to counter the powerful smash of Guillaume Quesque. The third set was remarkable because it was the first one that the French players lost in this competition. After 25 minutes Przemyslaw Kasparek secured the set with the third set point for Poland (25:22). In the fourth set Poland was in the lead several times, but towards the end France could gain the upper hand again (21:19, 22:20). However, the Polish players did not give up, fought back and secured the fourth set with 26:24. In this phase of the game the atmosphere among the spectators at theBudocenter was at boiling point! In the decisive fifth set the French players proved to have strong nerves, winning the set and thus the European Championships title 2007. Girls' Youth European Championships 2007: final day results GIRLS’ YOUTH EUROPEAN CHAMPION 2007 IS GERMANY
![]() Germany is the new Champion of the Girls’ Youth European Championships. They defeated Serbia 3:0 in the final match in Brno (CZE). The bronze medal was seized by Italy who beat the Belgians 3:1. “We need to perform strong in reception, otherwise we will have no chance”, said German head coach Jens Tietböhl prior to the final match against the Serbs. The Germans had their chances though and used them, proving especially strong mentally during the end phase of each set. Whilst they managed to seize their fourth set point in the first set (27-25), which was also the first set loss for the Serbs in the whole competition so far, the Germans took the second set point in the second set (25-23) with setter Lena Möllers tipping the ball over. The third set finished just as close as the first two and again Germany scored the decisive points, finally taking the third match ball (28-26).

Ticket for Seat Reservations
Ticket for Seat Reservations for the 2007 NESTEA European Championship Tour Events, will be Distributed via the Europe-wide Operating Agency Ticketcorner www.ticketcorner.com "We want to expand the ticketing for the entire Tour”, Christian Scholbrock, Managing Director of the Zurich based agency Global Sports Marketing (GSM) that organises and markets the NESTEA European Championship Tour, explains: „We are very pleased to have found a professional partner in Ticketcorner, a company that is among the leading service suppliers in this line of business in Europe.” Ticketcorner not only offers its services in the area of concerts and show events, but also operates in sport. Ticketcorner processed the ticket distribution for the Handball World Championship 2007 in Germany, an extremely successful event. In the same way tickets for the Beach Volleyball World Championships 2007 in Gstaad are offered. Therefore the continent’s Beach Volleyballers and their fans are in good hands with their goal to increase the publicity of their most important tournament series. "Up to now we were not able to fully fulfil the wishes of fans, let us say, from Munich who wanted to attend the German Masters in Hamburg or the Swiss Masters in Lucerne”, Scholbrock explains. The fans did not know the promise of a seat on the tribune because of crowded stadiums. This has now changed with the new service, „with which we will achieve a higher level of planning security for spectators and as well for us as organisers”, Scholbrock says. In the future the seat reservations can be made through the web address, via telephone hotline or at ticket agencies. The new service has been enthusiastically received by the Beach scene. For Andreas Scheuerpflug, one of the best players of his time and now managing the European Champions Julius Brink and Christoph Dieckmann, the new service "achieves a new level of professionalizing of the sport Beach Volleyball.” For Scheuerpflug "the NESTEA European Championship Tour is already a great product that offers athletes and fans a great event. It is nice to see that this tournament series is further continuing to grow and sets consistently new impulses.” Christian Scholbrock rejects any thoughts that the NESTEA European Championship Tour will gradually change its policy of free admission to see Europe’s best Beach Volleyballers in the future. "We will continue to be a Tour that offers free admission. We do not change that status. Our goal is to guarantee our fans seats on centre court, fans that often in times have long trips and commutes to make it to the events. After all, it can be very disappointing to come to a tournament and be left out because all seats in the stadium are taken.” NESTEA European Championship Tour 2007
