| Northern Ireland Volleyball mourns the death of Peter Michna
All those who knew Peter Michna are in shock following the news of his untimely death. Peter is wearing Number 10 in the attached picture of the Northern Ireland Civil Service team which won the UK Civil Service Mixed 2009 title and he was also on the Men’s winning team – a first ever victory for
NICS. Peter had contributed greatly to Northern Ireland Volleyball both indoor for Civil Service and on the Beach. To his family circle in Poland and his friends here and there, the Northern Irish and British Volleyball community send their deepest sympathy.

Peter was the Match secretary of Civil Service Volleyball Club and died suddenly tragically at the weekend. He was a very good player helping Civil Service to 2007/08 NIR Championships and the UK Civil Service Men’s and Mixed titles only last month. He and Ross Moore (Bangor) were a great pair on Beach – Ross described his partner as a true gentleman - there or thereabouts for every final on the weather wracked Northern Ireland Beach Volleyball circuit.
Rest In Peace Peter, the final whistle has blown too soon for you.
Special thanks to Mr. Patrick Murphy for having contributed this obituary. paddy@nivb.com
