Advertising on the Internet

There are many DOT COM reports and company balance sheets, which will show the cost or value of advertising on the Internet. As we have seen from the DOT COM industry, some are realistic, some are not. 

For example

The USA based site, about.com Volleyball, claims that a one month banner on their site is worth £1,300 per month. 

Another USA site, vball.com offers a corporate volleyball service, Banner logo / links, permanent presence on the home page, section sponsorship and E-mail promotion via their 5,000 member newsletter list. Cost from £1,700 to £17,000 for 12 months.

Banner Charges

A more realistic price for Volleyball Internet advertising is given by the fees charged by sites like,  LinkExchange - Sport and Excite.Sport.

LinkExchange charges (Regular Price) £11 per 1000 ad views for a general mailing (Sport in General) or £15 per 1000 ad views for a dedicated sport (I.E. Volleyball).

Excite.Sport charges (Regular Price) £18 per 1000 ad views.

Advertising in the Volleyball Newsletter will cost you only £5 per 1000 Banner ad views, a third of the cost of advertising on LinkExchange or Excite.Sport. The big advantage is that your banner will be seen by 1000's of volleyball customers, players, officials, coaches, fans and organisers in the UK and Ireland.
